Pepperball VKS vs. FN303
These two 68 caliber pneumatic less lethal launchers (FN303, Pepperball VKS) are making a surge in the market. We shot some telling high speed video with impacts into a human analog using an SC2+ Edgertronic HSV camera.

Labradar Testing
Finally got a chance between rain storms to try out our labradar with some 12G beanbag rounds against the Oehler 35 chronograph. Muzzle velocities were +/- 5 feet/sec with the Labradar tracking the beanbag all the way down range. Look for an article soon in Tactical Edge related to our 40mm experiment.

SHOT Show 2016
The show in Vegas this year was as exciting as usual with new less lethal products and firearms including a single 40mm launcher from ALS, a quad-launcher from Safariland. Safariland is now offering a variable speed 40mm impact munition that the user can manually change in the field. Also released this week was a new civilian TASER.
One of the most exciting new products is a 16 shot full/semi automatic shotgun from SRM Arms, offering a less-lethal platform as well.

40mm Launcher Evaluation
US Tactical hosted a demonstration in Oregon of the Milkor(AAMI) 40mm MGL-LTL Multi-launcher with the BIP round from SDI. WDF tested a couple of rounds with the new “less lethal” gelatin block from Clear Ballistics. This was the best multi launcher we have tested to date in terms of quality, trigger pull and consistency of projectile flight.
